The radial surface of the cradle is felt lined to provide a soft, form-fitting rest for the clock. The bottom of the base has felt pads to prevent any damage to the surface where it will be placed. The tide movement works off a 12 hour and 25 minute rotation for every 360 (degrees). The movement has a 3 year manufacturer's warranty.
